South African comedian Trevor Noah will return as the host of the 2025 Grammy Awards , set to take place on February 2 in Los Angeles. The announcement, reported by The Hollywood Reporter, comes just under two weeks before the prestigious event.

The 2025 Grammys will air live, celebrating the year’s outstanding musical achievements. However, this year’s event will carry added significance. Amid the devastation caused by ongoing wildfires in the region, the Grammys will double as a platform to raise funds for wildfire relief efforts. This initiative highlights the Recording Academy’s commitment to not just honouring the arts but also supporting communities in need during challenging times.

Trevor Noah, known for his sharp wit and global appeal, has become a familiar face at the Grammys, having hosted the event multiple times in recent years. His return adds a layer of continuity and charm to an evening that promises both entertainment and philanthropy.

While many ancillary events have been cancelled, three key occasions will still take place. These include the MusiCares Person of the Year gala on Friday, celebrating the Grateful Dead, and the Special Merit Lifetime Achievement award ceremony. Saturday night will host the prestigious Clive Davis pre- Grammy dinner, culminating with the Grammy Awards telecast on Sunday. In addition, a Fire Aid concert, organized by Irving Azoff, Live Nation, and AEG, will be held on Thursday at the Intuit Dome. The event aims to raise funds for relief efforts, with a lineup of major artists being finalized. Harvey Mason emphasized the significance of moving forward during this challenging time. “We understand how devastating this past week has been on this city and its people. This is our home, it’s home to thousands of music professionals, and many of us have been negatively impacted. So after thoughtful consideration, and multiple assurances from state and local elected leaders, public safety agencies, and with support from our incredible artist community, we have decided to go ahead with the GRAMMY telecast and some select events."
